Eva Mae Baron, 93, Chisholm, formerly of Virginia, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Serving Hands Assisted Living of Chisholm.
Eva was born May 29, 1919, in Virginia, the daughter of Godfrey and Anna (Martel) Baron.
She grew up and attended schools in Virginia and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1938. Following high school she attended Secretarial Studio for a year. She worked at Matthew's Freight Company from 1940 until 1944, and from 1944 to 1960 she did secretarial work in Minneapolis and Duluth. She then moved back to Virginia to help care for her parents.
Eva loved to read, work crossword puzzles, crochet, collect spoons, needlepoint, and was a family caregiver. She also enjoyed maintaining contact with her friends throughout her life.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Alma Bellefeuille and Ida Baron.
Eva is survived by a cousin; Madeleine (Hermann) Mondeux, of Cornwall, Ontario; special friends, Bonnie (Todd) Nelson, Virginia, Minn and Lisa Kruse, of Virginia, Minn.
As well as many other friends. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery in Virginia, with Fr. Fred Method as Celebrant. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home, Virginia. Please sign online guestbook at www.rangefuneralhomes.com
