ELLIE STRAW AND HARRY STRAW

Ellie Straw, 80, and Harry Straw 81, both of Donna, Texas, formerly of Roseville, Minn.

Ellie Straw, 80, and Harry Straw 81, both of Donna, Texas, formerly of Roseville, Minn.. Ellie died on March 16, 2012 in Donna, Texas and Harry died March 22, 2012 in McAllen, Texas.

Ellie was born May 17, 1930 in Duluth, to Austin and Cora Alreck. She attended Duluth Central High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at various businesses in including, American Stores Produce Co. and DANCO Corp. St. Paul. She enjoyed Bowling and arts and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, LeRoy Alreck and Chester Alreck.

Ellie is survived by her son, Wayne (Lisa) Boucher of Hermantown; grandchildren, Jordan and Nicholas; brother, Odin Alreck of Knife River, Minn.; sister, Beverley Spencer, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

Harry was born Oct. 23, 1929 in St. Paul to Myron and Emma Straw.

He was locksmith at Bredemus hardware in St Paul for many years. He was a member of the St. Paul chapter of S.P.E.B.Q.S.A (Barbershoppers) and the Minnesota chapter of Associated Locksmiths Of America. Harry enjoyed working with Stained Glass in his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Dean Straw.

Harry is survived by his daughters, Deborah Murray of Grover Beach, Calif., and Donna Straw of St. Paul, and son Dennis Straw of St. Paul; brothers, Thomas Straw of Harlingen Texas and Richard Straw of Salem Ore.

VISITATION: 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, for Ellie and Harry. Service will be at 4 p.m., all in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, MN (218) 727-3555.
