Ethel F. Sullivan, 82, of Proctor died Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
Ethel was born on Oct. 23, 1929, in Duluth to Erik and Helen (Hultgren) Peterson.
She grew up in West Duluth, and on Nov. 1, 1947, married Robert Sullivan. They lived in Duluth until they moved to San Diego in 1985 where they resided until Bob's death in 2006.
Ethel devoted many years to her family and worked briefly at Minnesota Woolen and Duluth Scientific. She enjoyed working on her crafts, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. After moving back to Minnesota, she became a member of the Daughters of the Nile Duluth Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Sullivan; daughter Roberta Stoffel; sister Edith Newman and brother James McLellan.
Ethel is survived by her daughter Sandra Lee Olson of Culver; sons Denny Sullivan of Duluth and Kelly Sullivan of Barnum; sisters Elaine Hilton of San Diego and Lois Olsen of Duluth; and brother George McLellan of Duluth. Ethel is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 with a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth.
