Earl David Fagre, 70 of Floodwood died Friday, May 4, 2012 in his home.
He was born Oct. 30, 1941 in Duluth to Lloyd and Geneva Fagre.
He grew up in Floodwood and graduated from Floodwood High School in 1959. He also attended Electrical Trade School. On December 29, 1962 Earl married Janice Schroeder in Floodwood. He worked for Universal Electric from 1962 until 1984. He also worked for Arrowhead Electric and Johnson Electric before retiring in 1998. Since 2003, Earl worked as the maintenance man at Riverview Manor in Floodwood.
Earl was a former member of Temple Baptist Church in Duluth and Grace Baptist Church in Cloquet. He was a member of Floodwood Assembly of God. Earl was a guy who could fix almost anything and was always willing to give of his time. He also served on several local boards and committees.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Barbara Sandstrom.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years; Janice Fagre; four daughters, Nancy (Steve) Hastings of Clontarf, Minn., Carol (John) DeVoll of Cloquet, Bonnie (Larry) Fjeld of Floodwood, and Lora (Brian) Fanning of Isanti; son-in-law, Dennis Sandstrom; his sister, Lois Zobel of Floodwood; his mother-in-law, Clarice Schroeder of Floodwood; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
VISITATION: 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the Floodwood Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Van Buren Township.
