EDNA ELENORA (DAMMER) BREWER

Edna Elenora (Dammer) Brewer, 88, of Saginaw, Minn., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in her home surrounded by family.

She was born Nov. 8, 1923 in Chicago, Ill., to Edward and Emilie (Holtz) Dammer.

Edna married George Brewer, Sr. on Dec. 23, 1946. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Edna enjoyed knitting, quilting, babysitting her many grandchildren and she made the best chocolate chip cookies.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Georgia Ann Petersen; and brothers, Walter, Melvin, Elsworth, Herbert and Edward Dammer; and son-in-law, Richard Williams, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, George Brewer, Sr.; son, George (Donna) Brewer, Jr. of Saginaw; daughter, Dorothy Williams of Saginaw; brother, Karl (Joyce) Dammer of Rockport, Texas; son-in-law, Joseph Petersen of Cloquet; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave, in Cloquet with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the Memorial Service. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship room. Inurnment at Culver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care for arrangements.
