Raymond Dahl Slotness, of Lacombe, La., 94, passed away peacefully at his home after a short battle with cancer on Friday, April 20, 2012.
Raymond Dahl Slotness, of Lacombe, La., 94, passed away peacefully at his home after a short battle with cancer on Friday, April 20, 2012.
Beloved Husband of the late Audrey Turner Slotness for 65 years. Son of the late John and Johanna Slotness. Brother of the late Lester, Arthur and Oscar Slotness.
He was a native of Duluth, and a resident of New Orleans and Lacombe, La, since 1940.
Ray, to all who knew him, was an avid sailor and an Honorary Life Member of the New Orleans Yacht Club and was a Past Commodore.
He was a member of the Bayou Lacombe Masonic Lodge No. 459.
He was a retired Supervisor for American Standard Company.
Surviving Ray are his loving nephews and nieces, Richard (Dick) Slotness, Stephen (Steve) Slotness, Dale Slotness, Cheryl Slotness, all of Duluth, Sandra Abrahamson of Minneapolis, Richard (Dick) Feddeck of Madisonville, La., Angus T. Olson of Fairfax, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Isabel T. Sommers of Metairie, La.
