Ruth O. Waller, 72, of Saginaw, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday April 18, 2012 in her home, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Ruth O. Waller, 72, of Saginaw, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday April 18, 2012 in her home, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Duluth to Ambrose and Gladys Johnson on Dec. 13, 1939. Ruth married Wayne Waller on May 14, 1960 in Twig, Minn.
She had worked at Target for 27 years. She was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Twig. Ruth enjoyed gardening, and flowers were her passion. She also volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to St. Luke's Hospice and its staff, and to Pearl Houle Ruth's special friend.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.
Ruth is survived by her husband Wayne Waller; son Steve Waller of Saginaw; daughters Cheryl (Brad) Fox of Duluth, and Annette (Jon) Beaufeaux of Aitkin, Minn.; a brother Charles (Kay) Johnson of Cloquet; sisters Margaret (Brad) VanArman of Saginaw, and Helen (Charles) Kallberg of Saginaw, and grandchildren Daniel Beaufeaux, Rachel Beaufeaux, Taylor Fisher, and Steven Waller.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. Tuesday April 24, until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Twig, Minn. Rev. Jeff Holter will officiate. Burial at Twig Cemetery, Twig, Minn. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home.
