Julianne R. Forrest (Chillen), 69, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 8, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, with her children and her sister by her side.
She was born April 29, 1942, to Henry and Bonnie (Stephenson) Chillen and married Pat Forrest in 1966.
Julie spent much of her career in the real estate industry, retiring recently to a full-time position as Grandma Julie. She was a wonderful entertainer who made every holiday special. She was well known for her creativity and her beautifully decorated cookies and cakes. She was adored by her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her sister, family and friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Michele and Pat Walsh, Amy and Donny McCarthy, and Katy and Jason Chartier, all of Cloquet, Minn.; her son and his wife, Scott and Melissa Forrest of Crystal, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Morgan, Jacob, Manning, Gracie, Ella, Blair, and Logan; and her sister and her husband, Janet and Wayne Anderson of Bloomington, Minn. She is further survived by her special niece Sarah (Triplett) Ellena, great-niece, Emmie, great-nephew, Cooper, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
VISITATION: 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 until the 5:30 p.m. memorial service in Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed by refreshments in the fellowship room. See the family online guestbook at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net.
