Mickie (Mary Kay) Schmidt Brown, 68, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, in St. Luke's hospital.
Mickie spent her life working with kids at Copeland Community Center, Life House and Edison-Duluth schools and loved all children as if they were her own.
Mickie is survived by her husband, James Brown; daughter Rebecca Pennazoli; sisters Peg (Bill) Sweeney, Rose (Jake) Zimmerman, and Jan Blankush; grandchildren; Auzauria, Asylis, Searin and Rohan; and many other relatives.
VISITATION: 1 until the 2 p.m. memorial service Saturday, April 14, in Trinity Episcopal Church in Hermantown.
The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers.
