Donald L Moody, of Duluth, died April 4, 2012.

Donald L Moody, of Duluth, died April 4, 2012.

He was born Sept. 2, 1933 in Duluth to Esther and Olaf Moody.

He attended Lakeside, East Jr. and graduated from Duluth Central High in 1952.

Donald worked for Zenith Interstate News Co. from 1952-1956, he was in the U.S. Army form 1956-1958, worked for Canteen Service from 1958-1972 from Diamond Tool & Horseshoe Co. 1972- 1994. after retiring he volunteered at Food Shelf and Zion Lutheran Church, was an usher and on the Church Council at Zion. He was remembered for decorating every Christmas and enjoyed camping, traveling and enjoy events with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf and Esther; sister Grace (Jim) Jennings; brother Carl Moody; nephews Scott and Mark.

He is survived by his brother John; daughters Sue (Jim) Moody, Sally (Terry) Teggatz, Sandy Moody-Upton, Sherri (David) Puckett; sons Sean Moody and Steve Moody; six grandchildren; Pat, Amanda, Tanya, Brandon, Jarrett and Brock; eight great grandchildren Miranda, Riley, Tommy, Faith, Aliddia, Kaylee, Caden and Freja nieces and nephews Kay, Cheryl, Bonnie, Rory, Carl; cousin Marie Rudberg.

SERVICE: 11 a.m. April 7, 2012 in Zion Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Susan, Sally, Sandy, Sherri, Sean and Steve, So sorry for your loss. It was always a treat to see your house decorated so beautifully for Christmas every year! God has granted your Dad peace for a job well done. Wendy Bergquist Johnson
