HOWARD REYNOLD ELLISON

Howard Reynold Ellison, 91, of St. Cloud died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

Howard Reynold Ellison, 91, of St. Cloud, Minn., died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Howard was born April 6, 1920 in Duluth, to Frank L. and Regina O. (Loken) Ellison.

He married his high school sweetheart Eleanor Christine Olson on March 23, 1943 in Duluth. Howard retired from JC Penney's after 35 years in display and advertising.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eleanor on April 1, 2007; two brothers, Gordon and John Ellison, and one sister, Frances Lenzendorf.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice E. (Richard Hale) Peterson of Brunswick, Maine; son, Thomas H. (Mary Lou) Ellison of Inzai City, Chiba, Japan; eight grandchildren, Kristin (Robert Foye) Peterson, Birgitta (Kevin Cashman) Peterson, Luke Ellison, Ellen Ellison, Peter Ellison, Philip Ellison, Erick Ellison, and Grace Ellison; and three great grandchildren, Gordon Foye, Sam Cashman, and Jack Cashman.

SERVICE: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the Calvary Community Church, St. Cloud Minn. Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2012 from 4- 7 p.m. in Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Minn., and one hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Crystal, Minn.

Memorials will go to the National Christian Choir 'Psalm 95' Radio Ministry.
