Eric R. Kuster, 25, of Duluth, passed away on Feb.
Eric R. Kuster, 25, of Duluth, passed away on Feb. 22, 2012.
Eric was born in Kansas City, Mo., on March 23, 1986 to Robert and Michele Kuster.
Soon after the family moved back to Duluth. He attended and graduated from Central High School in 2004. Eric enrolled in the Flight Program at LSC and progressed far enough to make solo flights. Soon after he joined the 148th Fighter Wing MN Air National Guard Duluth. He served from 2007 until his death. During this time he served in Iraq and completed Airmen Leadership School. Afterwards he completed communications training at Keesler Air Force Base.
Eric loved to go out with his friends, take trips to the beach and play with his dog Kaisa. He especially loved flying. Eric will be remembered for his kind heart, easy going, fun loving nature and intelligence.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lennart Kuster; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Erickson and step-grandfather, Mac Stacy.
Eric is survived by his mother, Michele Kuster; father Robert Kuster; brother Dean Kuster; maternal grandparents, William (Colleen) Erickson; paternal grandmother, Lois Stacy all of Duluth; aunts, Lori (Joe) Hicks of Minneapolis and Carol (John) Osufsen of Gilbert, Minn.; special cousin, Emily Carlstrom; his dog Kaisa as well as many other family members and friends.
VISITATION: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Sunrise Funeral Home. Military honors will be accorded by the Grand Forks Air Force Base Honor Guard. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
