Bud was my step-father as he was married 31 years to my Mom. Today is his funeral and I am sorry I cannot be there. But I am there in spirit. Bud was always a kind, patient man. He became a second father for both my brother and sister. In addition, Bud also had 4 children of his own. He never abandoned anyone. He was funny and caring. I remember that he always loved doing crossword puzzels. I know that he worked hard all his life and when he was in his retirement years he still took care of his children and grandchildren. And in a testament of how much he loved this big family, he made no distinction between biological and step- children and grandchildren; I think he was one of those special people who made everyone feel happy and cared for. I am so sad that I didn't have the chance to see Bud again. He and my Mom were always great companions. I could write more, but I just needed to say that Bud Ryser was one of a kind as far as I am concerned. I am very proud to have known him. R.I.P. Bud; you were loved by so many !!!
