Leonard Roberts of Silver Bay, passed away at home surrounded by family, Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.
He was born Oct. 11, 1924 in Chisholm, Minn., to Emil and Estelle Roberts.
He grew up in Washburn, Wis., with 10 siblings. He joined the Navy and was a World War II Vet.
He married Yvonne Ludack in 1948. He worked for Hunkin, Arnold & Dixon during construction of Reserve Mining, then worked in the Power House for Reserve for 33 years. His hobbie were woodworking, fishing and hunting and dedicated many years volunteering at the Veterans Home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Yvonne; daughters Lynne (Ed) Mattingley, Terri (Pudgy) Perfetto, Robyn (Warren) Swarmer and son Kevin (Annette) Roberts; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one grear-great-grandchild, and sister Delores Jasper of Chippewa Falls, Wis.
His funny, loveable character will be missed so much.
PRIVATE FAMILY INTERMENT: will be held.
Arrangements are by the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
