He worked for the Duluth-Winnipeg-Pacific Railway for over 35 years.
He is survived by two sons, Darren (Suzie Rosencrans) Holter of Thief River Falls, Minn. and Scott (Joann) Holter of Cook; 4 brothers, Harry Holter of Cook, Lloyd (Judy) Holter of Cook, Allen Holter of Cook and James "Ding" Holter of Blackduck; four sisters, Irene Baumgartner of Cook, Ethel Barnes of Cook, Mary Ann (Bob) Race of Mission, Texas and Nancy (Jim) Rinne of Angora; and 3 Grandchildren, Brittney, Cole and Dakota.
SERVICES: 1 p.m. Funeral service Friday, Jan. 27 at the Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Arthur Dale will be the officiant. Interment will be in the Field Township Cemetery. Interment will be in the Field Township Cemetery.
