Carl L. Hassinger, 91, died Dec. 25, 2011, in Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospice.
He was born March 19, 1920, in Duluth, and graduated from Central High School. He served in the Army during World War II in the North African and Italian Campaigns.
He lived in the Hopkins/Minnetonka area for 60 years and worked as a printer (typographer).
He was a member of the VFW, Faith Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member (since 1952) of Albert Pike Masonic Lodge No. 237 in Hopkins.
Carl was preceded in death by parents, Carl G. and Mabel Hassinger.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lempi (Lee); daughters Sandra (Paul) Martinson and Nancy Lee Hassinger; son Carl James Hassinger; grandchildren Gabriel (Elya) Martinson and Amanda (Jonathan) Grande; and great-grandchildren Nahanni, Nathan and Abigail.
The family wishes to thank St. Mary’s Hospice.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in Strobeck Johnson Chapel, 1400 Main St., Hopkins. A Masonic service begins at 12:30 p.m. in Albert Pike Lodge with refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Albert Pike Lodge No. 237 in Hopkins, or Faith Presbyterian Church in Minnetonka.
