PETER M. MAKI

Peter M. Maki, 70 of Shoreview, Min.., passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011.

Peter attended Duluth Central High School, Ohio State University and graduated from St. Paul TVI.

Peter was a U.S. Army veteran, worked for Qwest Communications and was active in local conservative political causes.

He was a longtime member and volunteer of USA Dance, Minnesota Chapter.

He is survived by sons Mark, Kevin and Paul Maki; grandchildren Peter, Alex, Christine, Blair, Colin, Khristopher, Kaitlyn, Ted and Jeanette; sister Linda Mell; brothers Paul (Carrie) and Matthew Dahl; and significant other Joyce Thompson.

VISITATION: 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, from 4-7 PM. in Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home, 515 Highway 96 W., at Mackubin, Shoreview, Minn., where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30. Spring interment in Palmers Cemetery in St. Louis County.
