Rebecca Ruth (Washburn) Carlson, 55, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

Rebecca Ruth (Washburn) Carlson, 55, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
She worked for the Duluth Public Schools and attended St. Scholastica college and earned an RN degree. After graduating she became a St. Louis County public health nurse.
She loved lemons, balloons and bringing joy and laughter to friends and family. Her children were her greatest joy.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Gary Carlson; children Kara Washburn (Ben Larson), Jayme Washburn and Casey Hollis; father Dean (Ardis) Garrett; sister Pam Schneider; brothers Wayne, Chris (Beverly), Jon, Kim (Tina) and Jeffrey (Colleen) Garrett; and best friend Diane Anderson.
She was loved and will be missed by many.
VISITATION: 1 until the 2 p.m. service Saturday, Dec. 10, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donors choice.
