Barbara Ann Tuve, 57, of Cloquet, passed away on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, in St. Luke’s hospital.
Barb was born in Onamia, Minn., in 1954, to Harry and Vera Weiss. She married Jim Tuve and on Sept. 4th, they would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Barb loved being with her family and friends. She liked making cards, doing crafts, feeding the birds, camping, and fishing, especially winter fishing. Barb loved going on their annual fall “leaf rides” to see the pretty fall colors and would often drive through Jay Cooke State Park to look at the deer. She loved her “Mountain Dew” and enjoyed playing her favorite computer games, especially Farmville, Zoo World, Petville and Words with Friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Vera Weiss; and her sisters, Bonita Weiss and Bev Danger.
Barb is survived by her husband, Jim, of Cloquet; daughter Toni Tuve of Superior; son Terry Tuve of Cloquet; her beloved granddaughter, Rachael, of Superior; her faithful dog, Rolo; her brothers, Harry Weiss Jr. of Grand Rapids, and Don (Suk) Weiss of Mahtowa; sister Brenda (Jay) Putney of Winthrop, Minn.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Luke’s hospital.
VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and continues at 1:30 until the 2:30 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Aug. 20, in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. Per Barb’s wishes, there will be no viewing. Following the service, burial will be at New Calvary Cemetery and a luncheon will be served in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
