Thomas A. Sirois Jr.
Thomas A. Sirois Jr. died Nov. 29, 2009.
Tom was born Sept.16, 1934, to Thomas and Veronica (Couture) Sirois Sr. He graduated from Hermantown High School in 1952. He married Nancy Johnson on Aug. 27, 1957, and lived in Herman-town until 1985. He moved to Rose Lake near Canyon, Minn., until 2005, then decided to travel and lived in Yuma, Ariz., for the past three years.
Tom was a member of the Air National Guard for 36 years and worked as a fulltime crew chief. He was also owner/operator of Junction Service Gas Station for six years. Tom enjoyed building homes in Hermantown and the surrounding area. Tom was also a member of the Hermantown Volunteer Fire Department for 27.5 years, a charter member of the Hermantown Park Commission, its building commission and Skyline Rotary. Member of St. Raphael’s Church, Fond du Lac Reservation. In 2000 he returned to work driving for Arrowhead Concrete Works until 2006.
Tom kept in touch with all his children and grandchildren. He cherished his family. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Ellen.
Tom is survived by his wife Nancy; daughters Cindy Sirois of Cloquet and Sherri (Thomas) Vest of Saginaw; sons Jon (Karen) of Hermantown and Thomas (Marie) Sirois III of Saginaw, Minn.; grandchildren Andy, Michael, Nicholas, Patrick Sirois, Nicole, Holly Vest and Zachary; great-grandchildren Dominic and Payton; his brother, Warren Sirois of Tucson; special nephew Scott Sirois, along with many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Snoopy.
Memorial will be held at a later date.

Lois M. (Phillips) Clark, 99, of Duluth, died Dec. 1, 2009. Services were Dec. 5 at First United Methodist Church with inurnment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Kathleen Helen (Kaneski) Hansen, 79
Duluth native and Denfeld and UMD alumna Kathleen Helen (Kaneski) Hansen, 79, died Dec. 8, 2009. Private family services will be held later.
Ronald L. (McGee) Huffman, 76
Veteran Ronald L. (McGee) Huffman, 76, of Duluth, died Dec. 5, 2009. Services will be held Dec. 12 in Princeville, Ill.
Elsie H. Isakson, 77
Elsie H. Isakson, 77, formerly of Duluth, died Nov. 19, 2009, at the Ely Bloomenson Nursing Home. Services were held Monday in Proctor.
Eino Johnson, 87
World War II Navy veteran Eino Johnson, 87, of Duluth, died Dec. 6, 2009. Services were Thursday at Trinity Lutheran with interment at Park Hill Cemetery.
Josephine L. Luczak, 98
Josephine L. (Gonyea) Luczak, 98, died Dec. 2, 2009, at Edgewood Vista. Services were Dec. 4 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church with interment in Polish Catholic Cemetery.
Mike Marnich, 79
Gary-New Duluth native and Morgan Park High School alumnus Mike Marnich, 79, died Dec. 6, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
Owen McGraw, 79
Veteran Owen K. McGraw, 79, of Duluth, died Dec. 5, 2009. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Lester Park United Methodist Church.
Jean Moder, 81
Duluth native Jean Michaud Nephew Moder, 81, died Dec. 4, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Services were held Thursday at St. James Catholic Church with burial in Oneota Cemetery.
Roy M. Rolandson, 79
Roy M. Rolandson, 79, of Duluth, died Dec. 1, 2009, in his home. A private service was planned. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.
Bradley Gerard Silvers, 53
Bradley Gerard Silvers, 53, of Duluth, died Dec. 2, 2009, after a long struggle with diabetes. Services were Monday at the Apostolic Gospel Church in Duluth, with interment in Calvary Cemetery.
