Bernard "Bernie" Goldberg, 85, died peacefully after a short illness on Friday Nov.
Bernard "Bernie" Goldberg, 85, died peacefully after a short illness on Friday Nov. 6, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospice with his family at his side.
He was born July 8, 1924 to Carl and Anna (Silver) Goldberg in Superior, Wis.
Bernie loved fishing, bowling (Superior Singles and Doubles Champion-1969), and playing cards with his friends at the Elks Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in May of 2009; his parents; three brothers, Nathan, Harry, and Leo Goldberg.
Bernie is survived by two sons, Carey (Kay) Goldberg, James (Elvis) Goldberg; two daughters, Sherry (Dan) MacGregor, Laurie (Gary) Smith; sister, Sophie Salnick; and five grandchildren.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 in the Cremation Society, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, (218) 624-5200. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Internment for Bernie and Shirley will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, Wis.

Joe and Ruth Jeanette Tucson, Az. We were suprised and saddened to read about Bernie--So glad we had a little time to visit this past summer.
