Duluthian Jeff Harriman, an investigator with the Superior Police Department was presented with a Medal of Valor. Harriman was off duty and driving home in February of 2012 when he discovered fellow officers involved in a pursuit. Instead of driving home, Harriman joined the pursuit, risking his life in a foot chase with an armed suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting; he had just a small, off-duty revolver and no bulletproof vest at the time.
