Jason Miller, a member of Boy Scout Troop 7, earned his Eagle Scout award on Sept. 11 and his Bronze Palm on Dec. 30. His Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on Dec. 8. Miller is the Troop 7 Senior Patrol Leader. For his Eagle Scout project, Miller worked with the Fredenberg Flyers Ski Club to construct the Eagle Ridge Ski Trail, a 3.5 kilometer cross-country ski trail that is part of the Biskey Ponds Ski Trail System, northeast of the Fish Lake Dam. As project manager, he planned, designed, laid out, cleared, graded, leveled and seeded the trail. Miller spent 249 hours on the project and the total volunteer hours was 634. The field work was completed within a month.
