This is my son, Staff Sgt. Chris Armstrong, a weapons loader with the Air National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth. He has done several tours with the 148th and other Guard units in Iraq and Afghanistan. He came back from the 148th’s most recent deployment and missed his first wedding anniversary, so I know his wife (and the rest of his family) is happy to have him home. His grandfather also served with the 148th, and I was an aircraft maintenance officer with the 2nd Bomb Wing.
