Olson home

LuAnn Olson, followed by Rory Strange of 211, walks past some of the flood damage visible outside the West Second Street home she and her husband have lived in for 30 years. June’s flooding washed out and buckled the house’s basement wall and shifted the building partly off its foundation. The street in front of the Olsons’ home was the site of a news conference Monday announcing the creation of the Twin Ports Region Flood Relief Fund to offer last-chance assistance for individuals needing help repairing or rebuilding their homes.
