Union vote

Duluth nurses authorized a one-day strike as they soundly rejected contract offers Wednesday at both SMDC Health System and St. Luke’s hospital. For a strike to be called, at least 66 percent of the votes cast had to reject the contract offers. No strike date has been set but 10 days notice must be given.
