1991 Grand Rapids oil spill


Crude oil swirls in the Prairie River near Grand Rapids on March 4, 1991. More than 600,000 gallons of crude oil spilled from a pipeline operated by a predecessor of Enbridge Energy. It’s one of the largest oil spills in Minnesota history.
