City of Duluth utility operations lead worker Daniel Jazdzewski supervises the replacement of a water valve in a city water main Thursday on the 4300 block of West First Street. Though he was on normal duty at the time, Jazdzewski said completing the project would probably require him and his crew to work overtime after his shift ended at 4 p.m. He said the crew couldn’t leave the pipe overnight because it could burst from being left exposed to cold air.
