The upper floors of the Lyceum Theater were home to the Oliver Mining Company in the first part of the 1900s, which also housed the headquarters of an industrial spy system that reported on union activities and more, for the benefit of the Steel Trust, made up of the owners of U.S. Steel and related companies.
