Marcy Barby (left), treasurer of the Humane Society of Douglas County, accepted a $140 donation from members of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Superior’s Barber-Cosmetology Club. The money was raised through a campus fundraiser. The mission of the Humane Society of Douglas County is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of human education.
