Ray Johnson sits in the Dreamland Ballroom in the upper level of the building at Lake Avenue and First Street in Duluth. Johnson owns the venue, as well as the Corner Lounge below, and restored the ballroom to look similar to its heyday in the 1940s and ’50s. A fire nearly destroyed the building in 1972.
