Snocross at X Games

Tucker Hibbert (bottom right) of Goodridge, Minn., leads the pack of 15 snowmobiles during lap 20 of the snocross competition at the Winter X Games at Buttermilk Ski Area near Aspen, Colo., on Saturday. Hibbert got out early on the field and breezed to his third straight crown. “It’s awesome,” said Hibbert, who tied Blair Morgan for most medals in the sport with eight. Morgan broke his back in a motorcycle accident at a competition last September, and is paralyzed below the waist. “I’ve spoken to Blair a few times since his accident and it sounds like he’s doing really well,” Hibbert said. Two competitors from the Northland made the final — Bobby LePage finished seventh and D.J. Eckstrom finished 11th. Nathan Bilow / Associated Press
