At a recent Duluth East girls’ swimming practice, I had the privilege of witnessing one of the team’s traditions. Before getting into the pool, Sally Sundeen, the coach, reminded team members to all hold hands and jump in the pool together. I was there to focus on a particular swimmer, but was lucky enough to witness this fun, quirky moment that brought the team together. The joy and excitement that beamed from the swimmers left me feeling encouraged and young again.
