I worked with Donald right around the time of the car accident during deer season and the last 5-6 years of his career at Potlatch. He was a hard working gentle man who spoke often and fondly of his wife and sons. He was always full of energy and conversation and I was happy to see him when he joked with me the last time I saw him at a Carlton Cafe. I am sorry to hear of his passing and extend my sympathy to the entire family for the loss of such a grand guy.

Don's signature "click click" of his custom made cane, and sly smile (when he would give you a little grief), will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy for the loss.

I was sorry to hear of Donald's passing and would like to extend my sincere sympathy to your entire family. It seems odd not getting his nightly calls since he went to the nursing home, but knew that he was where he needed to be. He was a nice man that liked to tell stories about his life in Esko with his wife and boys and his time in the military during World War II. May you take comfort in knowing that he had friends here that cared about him and will think of him often. Gail Lee-Burgener
