Hollingsworth Family. We are so sorry for your loss, everyones loss. Bob was a great friend and always had a smile whenever we saw him. For over 30 years we worked in the school system with Bob, we will miss him. We are sorry we could not be there in the celebration of his life. Our thoughts are with you all. Bob was an exceptional man. He was an asset to our community and to our school district. His gentle demeanor and firm resolve were well known and respected throughout the community. He will be remembered well by the many people who's lives were touched and changed through his career with the Duluth Schools. Joyce..it was so nice to see you and Bob the other day. You both looked so great and Bob had so many nice things to say. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. He was a great man..neighbor..and friend.

Bob Hollingsworth was a most amazing principal. He was an honorable man, supportive of our special education team, always working to make things better for all children. I feel very privileged that I had the opportunity to work with such a fine human being. My sympathies to you.

Hollingsworth family - Mr. Hollingsworth was also my principal 30 years ago. My grandfather Herb was a custodian at Laura MacArthur most of the time Mr. Hollingsworth was the principal. My mother was a lunch lady and Latch Key supervisor. I remember so many wonderful conversations with Mr. Hollingsworth because I had such close ties with the school. I remember everyday on the playground walking up to him and asking him what his name was today. He would open his suit coat and read me the name of the designer and laugh as I was in awe that there was a different name inside the coat each day. Today, I am an elementary principal in Arizona. I had no idea how much time it would take to run a great school, and keep the atmosphere positive. Mr. Hollingsworth put his time into people and relationships. I will always remember that about him, and it gets me out of my office and on to the playgrounds and into the classrooms each day because of the lessons he taught me 30 years ago. I only wish I would have reached out sooner. Thank you for sharing that wonderful man with my family and I, and most of West Duluth! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hollingsworth family - I am so sorry for your loss. Mr Hollingsworth was my principal at Laura MacArthur, he nick-named me Sam over 30 years ago, and still called me that even in recent years when he & my Dad played golf. My thoughts are with you. He was such a great person, may your memories comfort you at this time. DeAnne
