Helping Out for June 16, 2013: Solid Rock Safe Haven seeks volunteers
Many area organizations wouldn't be able to keep going without help from volunteers. If you have a few free hours and are looking for a productive way to spend them, try responding to one of these listings. You'll get as much out of it as the organization does.
Things to do this week
1. Be good to your dad today in honor of Father’s Day!

Fun with Dads
Thank you to all the children who submitted drawings of their favorite things to do with their dads! What a wonderful way for your dad to wake up today. You’ll find all the Father’s Day submissions in today’s Scrapbook, published as they were submitted by each of the kids. We drew three names from all the entries received and the following dads have a $50 credit at Superior Meats in Superior waiting for them: Bjorn Krause of Duluth; Nathan DeCaigny of Mahtowa; and Don Gentilini of Cloquet. Congratulations to all three! We wish you all a Happy Father’s Day!

Brooklyn Beattie, 10, wrote about what she loves to do with her dad, Dave Beattie of Superior: “I love when my dad gets in to silly mode and jumps with me on our trampoline. He is buisy alot with his job and my cronicly-ill brother who is 2. He loves me very much (most of the time) and I love him right back.”
