New children’s book gives an illustrated twist to regional TV show

Duluth artist Brian Barber has illustrated a new book for kids, “Holy Smokestacks! Here Comes a Steam Engine!” The book is based on “The Choo Choo Bob Show,” a children’s television show which appears locally on KBJR, Channel 6, at 10:30 Sunday mornings.

Peyton's place in art is with the environment
Peyton was an artist and avid outdoorsman throughout his long life. Born in Proctor, he graduated from Duluth Central High School and studied at Yale, his only time away from the Northland. His legacy includes paintings done in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel and as collages, as well as books.
