Local view: Much left to do on flood recovery
The recovery from last year’s June flash floods is now at an important crossroads. One year in and the work that has been accomplished is remarkable: An estimated 1,000 homes that had substantial damage have been fully repaired. Residents of the region are on track to accept about $16 million of federal and state disaster loans.
