Dr. John O. Hanson, superintendent, said yesterday the Esko school district has shortened the Christmas vacation by two days and will make other changes in school holidays. Hanson said the changes are being undertaken as a way of dealing with the energy crisis.
Lewis Latto, president of the Duluth City Council, said yesterday North Central Airlines isn’t planning to provide second-level loading and unloading facilities at the new Duluth International Airport terminal. That means passengers will have to go outside to board or leave aircraft.
