Woodland Hills of Duluth will be one of six youth residential agencies traveling to Capitol Hill this week to encourage Congress to pass legislation “that intervenes in the lives of troubled children and families in crisis,” as stated by Richard Quigley, executive director of Woodland Hills.
Tucked away in the Central Hillside, St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church is not among the most well-known or highly attended churches in Duluth. However, it is perhaps one of the more historical places of worship in the Twin Ports.
By now, her story has gone around the world, with her mom and dad making an appearance on the Today show Thursday and newspapers from as far away as the United Kingdom calling the Duluth News Tribune for the story of her birth.
