The writer of the Feb. 12 letter, “Catholics who don’t follow doctrine are hypocrites,” who identified himself as a priest, accused Democratic leaders of hypocrisy. We need not go far to realize the depth of hypocrisy in the Catholic doctrine as well as in the whole world.

Reader’s view: Take politicians’ pay, put them in a soup line
As I sit here listening to these politicians I get sick. They talk about laying off thousands of workers. I have a better plan: Strip these guys of their salaries and put them in a soup line. They sure are not doing the job they were elected to do, which was represent the people of the USA. Most have been in office long enough. They created this problem and can’t fix it without going after their people; too much money and politics stand in the way. They don’t believe in compromise. “Do it my way!” I see there are several not seeking re-election; they can’t stand the heat. I don’t know how these guys sleep at night.
