A misleading headline on a June 1 letter to the editor gave a wrong impression. It read, “A boozer and freeloader, but Duluth will sorely miss him.” And the letter writer’s words, although well-intended, left a negative tone concerning William Sonnenberg.

William Wallace Sonnenberg was a welcome fixture at our Thanksgiving dinner table for about 20 years. But he won’t be this year. Will died May 24 at home after a horribly brief (two-week) cancer battle.
