Happy Haunting

Louise Alholm of Cloverland sent these photos of a costume she has that was actually made in the 1950s. Several members of the Alholm family have worn it, but she only has the photos of her children and her grandson in it.

Alholm's son, Matt, wore the costume in 1987.

 • Defne Dikmen carving the Larrabee 2012 pumpkin. Defne was my German exchange student who was here Oct. 4-16. She stated she hadn't carved a pumpkin since she was a young girl.

The international educational exchange program was through Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. Having an exchange student was a very enjoyable experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

Submitted by Cindy Larrabee of Superior.
