Marilyn F. Nendick, 78, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Inter-Faith Care in Carlton, surrounded by her family, Kevin and Leigh.
Marilyn F. Nendick, 78, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Inter-Faith Care in Carlton, surrounded by her family, Kevin and Leigh.
She was born June 27, 1934 in Cloquet to Leonard and Eva (Williams) Murphy.
Marilyn had worked at the Lincoln Grade School, Cloquet Middle School and the Cloquet Sr. High School cafeteria. She was member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Wee Care Sewers; St. Paul's Lutheran Church women's auxiliary; and was the un-official resident caramel roll and bread maker for residents at Evergreen Knoll. Marilyn loved to travel, camp, bake, cook, and entertain large dinner gatherings of family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and attended every event and activity they participated in.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Nendick; a daughter, Kim; two sisters, Gloria and Dotie; and special family members, Grama Williams, Ella Convers, and Gladys Dobbins.
She is survived by one son, Kevin (Leigh) Nendick of Cloquet; two granddaughters, Tiffany (Peter) Carlson and Courtney Nendick both of Blaine, Minn.; three great-grandchildren, Addyson Bates, Sarah Carlson, and Hannah Carlson; one brother, Ronald (Marie) Murphy of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 funtil the 1:30 p.m. memorial service in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet, followed with a luncheon in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
