SaraAnn Childs, 61, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at St Eligius Health Center with her sister Margaret Edberg and dear friend Cedric LittleWolf at her side.
SaraAnn Childs, 61, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at St Eligius Health Center with her sister Margaret Edberg and dear friend Cedric LittleWolf at her side.
She was born May 2, 1951 in Duluth, the third to youngest of 11 children of Max and Gladys Childs.
Sara attended Lowell Elementary School and Duluth Central High School. She was a devoted caregiver of disabled adults for many years.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Helen Marie Childs (in 1939) and Eleanor Elaine Bice; nephew Mark Allen Towers, and grand niece Shyanne A Childs.
She is survived by her daughters Shawn Alice Holmes (Linnae Triebenbach) and Casey Marie Tynjala (Chris) Mattson; and her grandchildren, Sara's great joys, Taylor Holmes and Zachary Louis Mattson. Sara is also survived by her sisters and brothers: Maxine Lear, Margaret (Earl) Edberg, Thomas R. Childs, James E. (Phyllis) Childs, Daniel L Childs, Charles M. (Charlyn) Childs, Glen (Cathrine) Childs, and Edith (Jeffrey) Hill and many other relatives.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 12 Noon Thursday, Jan. 31, at Fredenberg Community Center and Township Hall, 5104 Fish Lake Rd, Duluth.
