MELISSA "MISSY" MCGREGOR-VOLTZ

Melissa "Missy" McGregor-Voltz, 39, Two Harbors, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday Jan. 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer.

Melissa "Missy" McGregor-Voltz, 39, Two Harbors, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday Jan. 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer.

Melissa was born June 12, 1973 to Daniel and Bonnie McGregor in Two Harbors, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1992.

She continued her education at Bemidji State University studying the arts and design. After college, Melissa returned to Two Harbors where she met and married Bradley Voltz, and they raised their children, Isabel, Ivan and Ilie.

Melissa owned and operated a greenhouse before her illness, and was also very talented in arts and other interests, but her greatest joy was being a mother.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Olive McGregor and Al and Gay Wiseman.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Brad; her children, Isabel, Ivan, and Ilie; her parents, Dan and Bonnie McGregor; a brother, Michael (Candis) McGregor and a sister, Mary (Kurt) Kuechle.

Melissa will be forever remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother, generous friend, and selfless person. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched throughout her life.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday Jan. 5, 2013 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, a savings account has been set at Wells Fargo up to help pay for medical expenses, and her children's college educations. I lost touch with Missy over the last few years but I have wonderful memories of Highschool and the birth of our first daughters. She was a wonderful caring person and great friend in our school years. My deepest sympathy to all who have lost her in your lives. Sara (Nelson) Johnson
