LORAINE "SNORKEY" (MCKAY) VALLA

Loraine "Snorkey" (McKay) Valla, 66, of Iron, formerly of Meadowlands passed away Dec. 20, 2012. She was born on Sept. 24, 1946 in Hibbing, to Anton and Helen (Reed) Zgonc.

Snorkey was a loving mom, homemaker and a waitress. She was a member of the Red Hats and the Kral-Matha VFW Post #3044 Ladies Auxilary. Snorkey loved watching old time reruns and old westerns, anything Elvis, flower gardening and playing practical jokes and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Snorkey is survived by her husband Ed; sons, Don (Heidi) McKay of Cloquet, Gary (Tammy) McKay of Destin, Fla and Jeff (Cheri) McKay of Cloquet; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Anthony, and Abby ("Gramma Raine" will be greatly missed by her grandchildren); great grandson Gage; brother Jerry (Cindy) Zgonc of Maryville, Mo; sister Karen Holst of Cloquet; step children, Shaun (Tracie) Valla of Hibbing, and Sheldon Valla of Austin, Tx; step grandchildren, Todd and Tori Cobb.

FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 in the Meadowlands Community Center, 7758 Western Avenue, Meadowlands, Minn.
