Jacque Abrahamson, 48, went home to be with her Lord Dec. 7, 2012, after a lengthy illness.

Jacque was a Veteran of the Air Force and during that time transported nuclear warheads while stationed in England. She was employed at Superior Community hospital, Duluth Clinic, St. Mary’s hospital and Fond du Lac Reservation.

She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and a member of the R.O.S.E., she was also a member of the Fond du Lac Honor Guard.

Jacque excelled in knitting, beading, quilting, walking, camping, traveling, motorcycling and antiquing. She enjoyed going to casinos, concerts and visiting with friends.

She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Dale and Maxine Akervik; and her father, Earl Ells.

Jacque is survived by her mother, Patricia Ells; daughter Rebecca Abrahamson; step-daughter Lindsey Abrahamson; foster daughter Kim; brothers and sisters, James (Mary) Ells, Rev. Susan (Eugene) Connor, Rev. Julie Ells, Robin (Noreen) Ells, Rev. Charles (Shelly) Ells, Betsy (Scott) Follis, and Tedd (Jennifer) Ells; birth brothers and sister, Jerry (Debra) Doolittle, Lori (Doug) Jensen and Donald (Lisa) Doolittle; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, with special aunt Sharon Shuck; and best friend Trina (Robert) Eastman.

VISITATION: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, and 1 until the 2 p.m. service Tuesday, Dec. 11, all at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. Burial will be at Fort Snelling.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s hospice, Carlton County Volunteer Services, or the Friends of Animals Society of Cloquet.

Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, (218) 624-5200.

My deepest sympathy to all of Jacque's family and loved ones. I went to school with her since the 6th grade. Her classmates from the Class of '82 are sad to hear of her passing, but she will always be fondly remembered and missed. Becky (Smith) Vork
