ERWIN C. JOHNSON

Erwin C Johnson 79 of Las Vegas, Nev., lost his brief battle with cancer on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012.

He was born Dec. 23, 1932 in Superior, Wis., Jalmer and Carrie Johnson.

Shortly after graduation from Central High School he joined the air force where he became a Air traffic controller in Northern Japan. Erwin retired from Consolidated Freight Ways in Portland Oregon having worked in The Computer Department. Upon retirement he moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where he helped raise his beloved granddaughters Yancy and Carrie.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie.

He is survived by his brother Dale Johnson (Peggy) of Las Vegas, Nev.; his sister Carole Rundell (Robert) of The Dalles Ore.; son Bradley Johnson and granddaugters Yancy and Carrie all of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter Karen and son Rick and their children of Portland Ore., and a nephew Scott Johnson and niece Sarah Johnson, both from Grand Forks Minn.

PRIVATE MEMORIAL SERVICE: was held in Las Vegas, Nev. Arrangements were made by Simply Cremation Mortuary of Las Vegas, Nev.
