Wilfred E. “Bill” Blaisdell, 94 of Superior, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth.
Wilfred E. “Bill” Blaisdell, 94 of Superior, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth.
Bill was born in Superior on June 6, 1918 the son of Ruie and Ezra Blaisdell.
He had worked at the Farmers Union Grain Elevators for 38 years.
Bill was a “Jack of all trades” and enjoyed woodworking. Most important to him was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruie and Ezra; step-mother, Ethel; his first wife, Dorothy on Oct. 8, 1984; his second wife, Martha on Aug 8, 2001; brothers, Louie and Robert; sister, Mabel; step-brothers, Morris and Ardell; and a step-sister, Lorraine.
He is survived by his daughterd, Rose (Howard Ammerman) Kirschbaum of Hinckley, Minn., Gertrude Bauer of Superior, and Judith (Gary Moe) Blaisdell of Superior; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a sister Gertrude.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Leon Flaherty will celebrate. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
